Today we pay tribute to our dear colleague, Humberto, Electrical Engineer, who dedicated more than two decades of commitment and professionalism to our institution and whom we physically lost this past July. From 2004 until his passing, his talent and dedication were essential in connecting autoanalyzer equipment to Galen and in export projects that marked a turning point in our development.
In the dynamic world of information technologies, unforeseen events are everyday trials by fire. At Softel, each day brings new challenges, and some arrive unexpectedly. The loss of electrical power may interrupt part of our operations, but it cannot stop the will to keep doing, creating, and contributing.
Softel embarked on a transformative journey through the Caribbean, introducing Cuban technological solutions to international stages where science, diplomacy, and regional collaboration converged with pride.
The journey began in Cuba, with a clear mission: to represent the country with excellence at BGM CASMET, a key regional event held in St. Kitts and Nevis. With enthusiasm and responsibility, our team set out for the Caribbean, carrying tools designed to improve medical management and strengthen institutional ties.
Softel culminó su participación en SIGESTIC 2025 con una experiencia enriquecedora que reafirma su compromiso con la transformación digital en Cuba. Este evento, celebrado en el Hotel Meliá Internacional Varadero, reunió a más de 500 participantes bajo el lema “Tecnologías de hoy para un futuro sostenible”, consolidándose como el principal espacio de intercambio tecnológico del país.
