Softel in the Caribbean: Cuban Innovation That Crosses Borders
Softel embarked on a transformative journey through the Caribbean, introducing Cuban technological solutions to international stages where science, diplomacy, and regional collaboration converged with pride.
The journey began in Cuba, with a clear mission: to represent the country with excellence at BGM CASMET, a key regional event held in St. Kitts and Nevis. With enthusiasm and responsibility, our team set out for the Caribbean, carrying tools designed to improve medical management and strengthen institutional ties.
The first stop was Guyana, where we held a strategic meeting with the Cuban ambassador. This dialogue opened new commercial and diplomatic opportunities, outlining paths from Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to expand the reach of our solutions across the region. Softel reaffirmed its role as a technological bridge between Cuba and the Caribbean.
Once in St. Kitts and Nevis, we dedicated ourselves to preparing for the fair. The setup was intense and collaborative, driven by a firm purpose: to represent Cuba with professionalism and warmth. During the day, we received a visit from the Cuban ambassador on the island, who recognized the collective effort and added a diplomatic gesture that elevated our participation.
From October 6 to 10, Softel participated in BGM CASMET alongside our partner, Caribbean Scientifica Medical Products. Among the projects presented, Galen Clínicas stood out—introduced by engineer Joy Dewnarain—as one of our flagship solutions for Cuban medical management, now also implemented at Sint Vicentius Hospital in Suriname.
Our institutional representation was led by Abduly Díaz, General Director, and Ailenis Macías, Director of the UEB for Commercialization and IT Services. Their presence reaffirmed Softel’s commitment to excellence, regional expansion, and the pride of taking Cuban innovation beyond our borders.
Softel doesn’t just cross seas—it builds bridges of knowledge, technology, and humanity. Every step of this journey confirms that Cuba has much to offer the world, and that our solutions are capable of transforming realities throughout the Caribbean.
